Elizabeth Mathieu is an accomplished CEO and president with 25 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, including commercial banking, investment banking, trust company, private banking and multi-family office sectors. She began her career with Citibank first responsible for managing global risk management issues in Europe and Asia and then serving multinational companies in Kenya. She was with Chase Manhattan Bank for the next 15 years, developing strategies and businesses for corporate, investment banking and private banking businesses both in the US and in 21 other countries. In 1995, she was invited to build the Neuberger Berman Trust Companies which she grew from $250MM in assets under management to $4.5 Billion in 2001. She was then president of AMA-Eagle, LLC, a multifamily office. Today, with SFO Advisor Select, she continues her work of advising individuals and families by focusing on how their advisors andcounselors can best serve them.
Ms. Mathieu frequently speaks and publishes on a range of topics for wealthy individuals, families and their advisors including philanthropic program structuring, family governance issues, investment management policy, risk management, tax, retirement, and estate planning. Her articles have been published in NYU Institute on Federal Taxation Proceedings; Journal of Estate Planning; Journal of Gift Planning; Journal of Private Portfolio Management and ALI-ABA Post-Mortem Estate Planning. She has addressed such groups as the YPO-CEO, NYU Institute of Family Wealth, Family Office Exchange, and the American Bar Association.
Ms. Mathieu holds a BA from Vassar College, a JD from Suffolk University Law School, and a Masters in International Affairs with a concentration in economics from Columbia University. She is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor and an Accredited Estate Planner. She participated in the first Harvard Business School Executive Program addressing Strategic Planning for Professional Services Firms. She is a past member of Board and Treasurer of both the Committee of 200 and its foundation, a current member of the Board of the USTA Foundation for Tennis and Education, and the Securities Industry Institute.

Natasha Pearl, CEO and Founder of Aston Pearl (www.astonpearl.com), has more than 16 years of unique global industry experience with the ultra-high-net-worth and family office marketplace while at firms including Sotheby's, American Express, Mercer Management Consulting and Booz Allen & Hamilton. In 2002, she founded Aston Pearl, "the family office for everything except money." She has relationships with a worldwide network of clients and experts throughout the art, luxury, and family office areas. In July 2006, as part of Institutional Investor's Fifth Annual High-Net-Worth Awards, Aston Pearl was nominated by Private Asset Management as "Family Group of the Year." Recently, Aston Pearl was featured in the Wall Street Journal in Robert Frank's "The Wealth Report," in the Financial Times and in the Winter newsletter of the Family Office Exchange.
Prior to founding Aston Pearl, Ms. Pearl served as Senior Vice President and Worldwide Director of Relationship Marketing at Sotheby's, and as Chief Marketing Officer for Circline, a global art firm. Before that, she spent a number of years in management consulting with Booz Allen and Mercer Management Consulting, advising top-tier global financial institutions, and held positions at American Express in operations and marketing.
She is frequently invited to speak on topics related to family offices and family business, most recently at Campden's Families in Business, Family Office and Wealth Preservation (New York and Geneva), the Family Office Symposium, Tiger 21, Institutional Investor's "Women and Wealth," Institute for Private Investors' Spring Forum, and the World Luxury Congress (Paris).
Ms. Pearl received her undergraduate and MBA degrees from Harvard University. Her professional affiliations include the Family Advisory Council, Harvard Club of New York, and Harvard Business School Club of New York. She recently concluded a four-year term on the Harvard Business School Dean's Advisors, and is also a trustee of Marymount Manhattan College.
Philip Strassler has 40 years of experience working with families, alternative assets funds and their advisors to provide strategic business advice and guidance on how to strengthen and deepen business relationships. In 2007, he retired as a Partner at Marcum & Kliegman LLP, where he was instrumental in fueling the firm's growth from $20 million in revenues with 30 professionals, to nearly $120 million with 500 professionals by the time he left to launch the Center for Advisor Excellence. At Marcum & Kliegman LLP Mr. Strassler founded and was the leader of the Private Wealth Services and Hedge/Fund Investment Partnership practices. In 2008 and 2009 he developed and taught the Emerging Leadership Program to Marcum & Kliegman LLP Senior Managers and Partners. In addition, to co-founding the Center for Advisor Excellence, he provides strategic advice to several family offices.
Prior to joining Marcum & KliegmanLLP, Mr. Strassler was a Partner at a billion-dollar mezzanine/leveraged buyout fund. In this capacity, he provided investment analysis and tax advice. He also spent ten years working on tax, business advice and investment analysis for a family office.
On an ongoing basis, he speaks on hedge fund, investment partnership and family office organization and tax planning and has written numerous articles for The Tax Advisor, The CPA Journal, The Journal of Practical Estate Planning, as well as other publications. During his tenure at Marcum & Kliegman LLP, he was the Publisher of Private Investment Forum, Marcum & Kliegman LLP's quarterly publication directed at hedge funds and investment partnerships.
Mr. Strassler has a B.B.A. from Hofstra University. He is a member of the AICPA and NYSSCPA and is a member of the Taxation of Financial Instruments and Transactions Committee. He is a founder of Metro New York Philanthropic Network, a network of advisors that specializes in philanthropic consulting.
